A Florida native, Emerson has worked in the field with her parents since a very young age. She has joined her parents’s gopher excavation projects around Florida. Additionally, she has observed scrub jay monitoring projects, other threatened and endangered species evaluations, and marked wetlands. Her other contributions to the team included helping with presence/ absence surface surveys for their archeological work.
